Welcome to Cults Academy online

Welcome to Cults Academy Website. Our new school opened in October 2009 and aims to provide an excellent educational experience to the young people of lower Deeside. We receive pupils from Culter, Cults and Milltimber Primaries as well as from Lairhillock Primary in Aberdeenshire.

Our new building maximises the use of glass and natural light and provides a modern, bright environment for learning. All classrooms have an Interactive Whiteboard. Extensive sports facilities include a Dance Studio, Games Hall, Gym Hall, fully furnished Fitness Suite and a 25m Pool (from Jan 2010).

Green Flag Assessment

At Cults Academy on Wednesday 30 September two assessors from Eco Schools arrived at our school at 10 o'clock. Once they had been introduced to the members of the Eco Team the assessment began. The format of the assessment was as follows;

We began with a powerpoint presentation highlighting the three main areas of our action plan - Transport, Health & Wellbeing and Litter.
After the presentation we took the assessors on a tour of the school.
We then visited the technology department going into Mr Martins tech studies class to hear about the eco-related projects they had been involved in.
After seeing the whole school we had a question and answer session with the whole Eco Team and the assessors.
